Last week, NAR debuted its new Members First (M1) member database system. M1 replaces the National REALTORS® Database System (NRDS) system, which was built more than 20 years ago. The goal is to provide a powerful member information and engagement platform that serves as a single source of accurate and actionable member data.

Notification emails will be sent to all 1.4 million REALTORS® currently in the NRDS database to verify member email addresses. These emails will be sent in batches of 100,000 per day beginning on January 22. This initiative will take approximately two (2) weeks to complete.

The sender will be National Association of REALTORS® and the sender's email address will be [email protected]. The subject of the email will be: Please confirm your email address for the National Association of REALTORS®. Members will be asked to click a link to verify the email is real and working.

This is not a scam. The purpose is to make sure the member data used by local, state and national associations is the most up-to-date and accurate information available. Please respond when you receive your email as it helps to create a more reliable database.

Keep an eye out for this email if you have not already received it. Be sure to check your spam filters to ensure you don't miss it. NAR will store the result of whether or not the email has been verified and this information will be displayed in the M1 database.
